FYI, percentages aren't additive. So going from $27,000 to $31,200 is actually just under a 16% increase, even though the initial 8% was then increased by another 7%. Here's the calculation: ($31,200-$27,000)/$27,000 $4,200/$27,000 = 15.56% Rounding up after the 0.5 (as is custom in mathematics) leaves 16% as advertised. I hope you enjoyed the video!
